Welcome to my silly little notes archive 🙂 Over the years I’ve found myself passionate about bridging the gap between computer science and molecular biology, whether thats through my research, education, or personal projects. ## Quick Prefaces Taking everything in this vault with a grain of salt… Don’t be surprised if you come across empty notes containing only a sentence or two. I prefer to make a note for a concept ## Obsidian Vault Guidelines ## Getting Started So you may have already noticed but this database *doesn’t use folders* to group certain categories of notes. I feel like trying to categorize concepts into a specific discipline limits how you think about them and the potential connections you might draw between them. I’m also always looking for ways to reduce the **“friction”** of my study process, making it so that I spend *less time on notetaking* and *more time actually learning* the material. A lot of my notes are on the border of multiple different categories and I would find myself spending far too much time trying to decide where to place them. I can’t tell you how many times I restructed my folder layout back when I used them… - This is also why I quickly found myself shifting away from using Notion for notetaking. The simple markdown editor Obsidian provides forces you to keep your notes fairly simple. The best way to navigate through these notes is to treat it like a wiki. There are countless links between the notes - If you’ve ever played the wikipedia “race from one page to another” game before then you’ll love it here. > **Anyways, here are some interesting starting points:** > - [[Antibodies]] > - [[Chemical Reactions]] > - [[Computer Algorithms]] > - [[Probability Theory]] --- Inspired By: - [Chromatically](https://publish.obsidian.md/chromatically/publish+homepage) (Another Public Vault) - [How to achieve more while studying less](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYJsGksojms) (Chris Pomeroy) <iframe width="280" height="167" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/MYJsGksojms?si=gm7RbRQW_envdobx" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe>
