# Glycolysis & Gluconeogenesis
PFK2/FBPase2 work to maintain blood-glucose levels through glycolysis and gluconeogenesis.
The domains of PFK2-FBPase2 each have their own function depending on which domain is
activated.
When there are low blood glucose levels, the phosphatase domain is activated
through serine-32 being phosphorylated (not methylated and demethylated).
When there are high amounts of F6P, there is more F-2,6-BP created which causes feedforward stimulation of the enzyme phosphofructokinase.
